Mit dem InfoRapid Internet-Zeitungsleser können Sie sich aktuelle Nachrichten zu ausgewählten Themengebieten aus dem Internet herunterladen und diese anschließend bei getrennter Internetverbindung in Ruhe durchlesen. Das spart Ihnen nicht nur Online-Gebühren, es ist auch schneller und komfortabler als der direkte Aufruf der Internetseiten.
Damit Sie sofort starten können, sind viele Zeitschriften und Zeitungen schon vorkonfiguriert. Falls Ihre Zeitschrift nicht darunter ist, so können Sie die Konfiguration auch selbst erweitern. Das ist allerdings nicht ganz einfach und setzt Grundkenntnisse über reguläre Ausdrücke voraus.
Der InfoRapid Internet-Zeitungsleser ist ContributionWare, d.h. falls Sie das Programm länger als 30 Tage benutzen möchten, so müssen Sie einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung des Programms leisten. Dieser Beitrag kann darin bestehen, daß Sie mir Ihre selbst erstellten oder erweiterten Konfigurationsdateien per E-Mail zusenden. Ich werde Ihre Zeitschriftenkonfiguration dann in die nächste Programmversion aufnehmen, so daß alle Anwender davon profitieren können. Sprat is a program that enables you to:
The first form you see is the main menu. Here you can open a table or create a new one, call the forms of structure and contents of a table and delete a table.
First of all you must create a table. Click the button 'Open/Create a table' on the main menu. Then open a folder (better empty) where your table will be and enter the name of your table into the 'File name' field. Click 'Open'.
To open existing table click the button 'Open/Create table' and select your table.
Now you are ready to change the structure of the table.
Click the button 'Structure of <name of your table>' in the main menu (the table must be opened). The form 'Structure of a table' appears. It consists two pages: 'Fields' and 'Lists'. On the page 'Fields' you can:
To add a new field click the button 'Add' on the right side of the page 'Fields'. Window 'New field' will appear. Enter fields caption, type of field and name of list (if type of field is list) and click 'Ok'.
Caption - any text.
Type - may be one of five types:
List - This field appears only if you selected the type of field - 'List'. Here you must specify the list of values for the field. If you need to create a new list click the button with '+' (at the right side of combobox 'List'), specify the name of list, click 'Ok' and select your list in combobox 'List'.
To change the caption of field select the field and click the button 'Edit' on the right side of page 'Fields'. Window 'Edit field' appears. Change fields caption and click 'Ok'. Here it's impossible to change the type of field or the name of list.
To delete a field select it and click the button 'Edit' on the right side of page 'Fields'. Click 'Yes' to confirm your decision.
To make field sortable select the field and click the button 'Sort' on the right side of page 'Fields'. The character 'x' in the column 'S' appears. It means that you are able to sort records by this field. To make field unsortable just click the button 'Sort' again.
On the page 'Lists' you can:
To add new list click the button 'Add' on the right side of page 'Lists'. Window 'New list' appears. Enter the name of list and click 'Ok'. The name of new list appears in the grid.
To change the name of existing list select list and click the button 'Edit' on the right side of page 'Lists'. Window 'Edit list name' appears. Change the name of list and click 'Ok'.
To edit contents of list select the list and click the button 'Contents' on the right side of page 'Lists'. Window 'List' appears. Here you can work with the contents of list. Button 'Add' or <Ins> adds new record. Button 'Delete' or <Del> deletes selected record. To edit item of list just click it in the grid and enter new data. Field 'Search' (at the bottom of window) helps you to find record. Just enter the searching data and cursor will show the record you need. Button 'Exit' closes the window.
To delete list with all its contents select the list and click the button 'Delete' on the right side of page 'Lists'. Click 'Yes' to confirm your decision. The programe could not delete a list if any field references to it.
Sprat can work with lists in a two different ways. First: the list allocates in the disk - this method is more slower but saves memory. Second: the list is stored in memory and saves on the disk only been changed - this method is default and it is more faster but spends memory. The column 'In memory' (page 'Lists') contains character 'x' if list stores in memory. Button 'Memory' changes the way of list processing.
Click the button 'Contents of <name of your table>' on the main menu (table must be opened). You see the form where you can work with the contents of a table. Let's see what you can do here:
Add a new record. Click the button 'Add' or press <Ins>. New record appears. Now you can insert new data into the columns. To insert new data into the column with List or Date type you need to click the button appears in the right side of a cell you want to change. You can do the same in another way: 1) For the column with List type - <Ctrl+Enter>; 2) For the column with Date type - <Alt+ArrowDown>;
Edit existing record. Just move the cursor to the cell you want to change and type new data.
To delete a row in a table, you don't need any more, click the button 'Delete' or press <Del>. Click 'Yes' to confirm your decision.
To sort your data by the column you need, click the button 'Sort' and select the name of the column. To cancel the sorting click the same once more. When data has already sorted you can find the required value inserted it to the field at the bottom of the window.
To select the rows wich satisfy the required conditions there is 'Filter' function. First set the cursor to the column you want to filter by, then click the button 'Filter' - the window with list of conditions appears. Select the relational operator you need in the 'Operation' column. Insert the value you want to compare into the 'Value' column. Select 'Yes' to activate filter in the 'Enable' column. To select rows which satisfy all conditions - enter them into upper area of the window 'Filter'. To select rows which satisfy if only one condition - enter conditions into bottom area of the window 'Filter'. When the filtration is fulfiled, the color of the column changes to yellow. To unset filter - set the cursor to the same column, click consistently buttons 'Filter', 'Clear', 'Ok'.
To print a table click the button 'Output'-'Print'. To make preview of your table click 'Output'-'Preview'. Here you can change font, margins and other printer settings.
To convert your table to HTML click 'Output'-'HTML'. Select the name of resulting file, insert the caption of the table into the 'Text' field and specify the location of the caption. In the area 'Table' specify the number of rows per page and the width of the border.
To calculate the outcome values of any column, select the required column and click 'Outcome'. The menu appears. To count the rows click 'Count', to summarize the column values click 'Sum', to clear outcome cell click 'None'.
How to make statistic analysis.
To calculate arithmetic average, mean square deviation and standart error set the cursor to the column you need and click 'Stat'-'Average'.
To calculate Student's t set the cursor to the column you need and click 'Stat'-'Average with Student'. You need to insert some parameters of the compared variety. Insert the arithmetic average into the field 'Average', amount of numbers in variety into the field 'Amount' and standart error into the field 'Standart error'. Click 'Ok'.
To calculate a cofficient of correlation, correlation error and Student's t set the cursor to the first column of correlation and click 'Stat'-'Correlation'. The window 'Select column' appears. Select the second column of correlation and click 'Ok'.
To calculate cofficients of linear and hyperbolic regression set the cursor to the first column of regression and click 'Stat'-'Regression'-'Linear'/'Hyperbolic'. The window 'Select column' appears. Select the second column of regression and click 'Ok'.
To copy the contents of table to clipboard select the area of a table you need to copy and click 'Copy'. To select the copy area you can do in a two different ways:
by left mouse button;
by cursor control keys (the Shift key must be hold).
It happens that you need to print, convert to HTML or make a preview of your table consists only several required columns. To make needless columns unvisible click 'Visible' and set 'No' in a row with the name of unwanted column.
To make some mathematical operations with the columns values set the cursor to the column you need and click 'Math'. The window 'Math' appears. Select the type of operation you want to perform in the 'Operation' field and insert the second operand into the field 'Constant' or 'Column' if you want to use values of another column.
To delete a table with a content click the button 'Delete <name of your table>' and confirm your decision.
